Hope in a Perfect Future World

The SciFi Channel in December 2006 aired a special, Countdown to Doomsday.
The program dealt with natural disasters, alien attacks, colliding
asteroids, robots, ecosystem and human extinction, global warming and
global terrorism. In the end of all things, Tom Clancy sums it up in the
film, The Sum of All Fears in Al Gore’s documentary; An Inconvenient Truth
and the disaster film, Deep Impact these are just signs of things that may
possibly happen. Like such real catastrophes, Pompeii of 76 B.C. and
modern day tsunami in Southeast Asia and Hurricane Katrina that has killed
thousands.
Wouldn’t life be a whole lot simpler and less stressful if you go to the
Bible and know of God’s plan of salvation and eternal life? What’s so far
fetched tackling a problem so huge it would take generations to try and
solve it or trust in a powerful God to solve our problems. With the
exception of alien attacks and a robot revolution ever happening, Jesus
said over 2000 years ago that these things shall come to pass before His
second coming. As Christians we can have hope that the earth will not be
destroyed even by nuclear holocaust. Yes, the earth will be saved. All the
turmoil and tribulation that is coming upon the Earth will one day cease.
Everything that once was will be no more. All things will be stopped in
its tracks. The end of this age and the end of all evil will stop. There
will be a new world called eternity. Life will go on. Jesus Christ’s
return to Earth is evident. He will return to rule on the Earth as King of
Kings. The wicked will cease to exist, but the meek shall inherit the
earth (Psalm 37:10-13). You can live in a better world, all you have to do
is believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. He is the only way to
the Father. Even in the great droughts He calls out to the lost (Isaiah
50:2). Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? When I called, was there
none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? Or
have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea I make
the rivers a wilderness; Their fish stinketh, because there is no water,
and dieth for thirst. Those people who are involved in false religions are
living in darkness. These are followers of Islam, Jehovah’s Witness,
Christian Scientists, Mormons, Scientology, Buddhism, Hinduism, Shintoism,
Taoism, Transcendental Meditation, Satanism and any other religion that
doesn’t recognize or reject Christ as savior of one’s soul. He calls all
to repentance (Isaiah 55:7). Let the wicked forsake his way, and the
unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he
will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
After the tribulation will come a time of rejoicing for all former things
will have passed away and a new Heaven and a new Earth will begin. The
LORD says, my righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine
arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm
shall they trust. Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the
earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth
shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in
like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness
shall not be abolished (Isaiah 51:5-6). At this time all the wicked have
been destroyed. The antichrist and the false prophet are cast into the
lake of fire. Satan is bound in the bottomless pit for 1,000 years. The
wicked dead no longer exist and reserved for the Great White Throne
judgment after the 1,000 years. During the time of renovation of the old
earth it would possibility take months for everything to be renewed.
You’re probably think God can make another one in six days right. Well we
got into messing the earth up so God will allow us to rebuild it, in other
words clean it up. In Ezekiel 38-39, there is the war of Gog and Magog
where God intervenes and destroys the enemies of Israel. This will take
seven years to accomplish the burning of all the weapons, and it will take
seven months to bury the dead (Ezekiel 39:11-16). This is probably the war
before the war of Armageddon at the end of the age. This war involves
Russia (Gog) their Islamic alliances (Ezekiel 39:1), the chief prince
(Rosh) of Meshech and Tubal. The final war, Armageddon on the fields of
Megiddo will be cut short by God himself because no flesh would be left
alive. Jesus will descend upon the Mount of Olives and split it in two
from the east to the west creating a great valley, half the mountain
removed to the north, and the half to the south (Zechariah 14:4-9). From
that day forward there will be no more darkness. The day and night will be
light, which shall be one day. The LORD shall be king over all the earth.
There will be one LORD, and his name one. There is no other. Those
tribulation saints left alive will see the return of Christ and His saints
from Heaven. Those saints that died in the tribulation will be resurrected
to live and reign with Christ for the thousand years.
This is the great hope to all those who believe. Are you hoping for a
great future in a better world to live in peace and happiness for the rest
of your life? It’s simple. Just believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be
saved. Then you will enjoy the eternal benefits that no life insurance
policy can guarantee. God made us heirs to his Kingdom and it’s available
to us if we only believe and trust in Jesus Christ.
Dear God,
Thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ to die for my sins. According
to your Word, I believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and that you raised him
from the dead that I am saved by the blood he shed on the cross at
Calvary. I turn from my sins and I will live for you and follow you all
the days of my life and forever. Thank you for saving me and making me
your child. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and guide me each day in your
mercy and grace. In Christ Jesus I pray. AMEN.
